Brave browser now includes Leo – a smart AI assistant that makes your browsing experience more interactive and easier. It can summarize web pages, generate new content, and offer relevant suggestions.
You don’t need to install anything to start using Leo. When you start typing in the Brave address bar, an option Ask Leo will appear.
Click on it to open Leo in the sidebar.
To configure Leo settings, open Brave settings from the address bar:
brave://settings/leo-assistant
Alternatively, you can click on Leo from the settings sidebar.
By default, Leo uses Mixtral as the AI chat model, but you can switch to other available models like Claude Instant and Llama 2 13b.
To change the chat model, click the drop-down next to the option Default model for conversations. Choose from the listed ones which include Claude Instant and Llama 2 13b.
You can also toggle Leo from appearing in the sidebar or the context menus of websites.
Also, to clear all Leo chat history, click the Clear Leo data. A confirmation message will pop up to verify if you would want to delete it. Click the OK button to delete.
Do give Leo a try when using Brave browser to speed up your browsing tasks and be more productive.
All done.
