Microsoft OneDrive is tightly integrated with Windows 8.1. What this means is that there is no specific uninstall option for OneDrive and so it can’t really be removed. It will be visible in File Explorer and also be active once logged into Windows 8.1.
However if needed, it can be disabled so that it no longer syncs documents/stores files and also won’t be visible.
To do this :
Access the Run box (Windows key + R) and type : gpedit.msc
Drill down to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows components.
Next, choose OneDrive from left pane and double click on “Prevent the usage of OneDrive for file storage” on the right.
Click the “Enabled” button and save the changes.
OneDrive won’t be visible anymore when using File Explorer and also won’t launch or sync from now on.
All done.
