Here’s how to manage your calender and schedules from terminal in Linux Mint / Ubuntu:

1. Issue the following command at the terminal –

sudo apt-get install calcurse

2. After the installation is complete, issue the following command at the terminal –

calcurse

Starting calcurse in Linux Mint / Ubuntu

3. Start managing your calendar and schedules from the command line using calcurse! New data files will be created for you when you run the application for the first time. Use ‘Tab’ key to toggle between ‘Calendar’, ‘ToDo’ and ‘Appointments’. Use ‘a’ and ‘e’ keys to make /edit entries and ‘s’ key to save them. Press ‘q’ key to quit. The application will save your entries to data files while exiting so that they are made available to you when you start the application again.
