How To Fix Steam Connectivity Error When Playing PC games

While launching Steam supported PC games, it can become quite annoying when the following errors keep popping up on launching Steam :

“Cannot contact the Steam network. Please try later.” or

“Steam is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.”

But there is an easy fix for the above, navigate to the path where Steam software is installed (usually C:\Program Files\Steam).

steamfl

Once there, delete the file ClientRegistry.blob and then relaunch Steam.

Note : It may not immediately work upon deleting the blob file the first time, we got Steam working after deleting the file and relaunching Steam about 7 times in succession.

Hopefully, there would be a more reliable and less annoying Steam user experience in the future.

Happy gaming. 🙂
