How To Pin Different Email Accounts To Windows 8 Start Screen
The Mail application that comes with Windows 8 can be useful to manage multiple email accounts from a single dashboard. When there are multiple email accounts configured, it can be convenient to keep a shortcut of the most active/priority based email account so that it can be directly accessed from the Windows 8 start screen.
To do this :
1. Open Mail app and go to the email account that needs to be pinned to Windows 8 start screen. Then right click on inbox or the name of this email account (Live in this example) and select “Pin to Start”.
3. Enter a title other then default (if needed) and click “Pin to Start”.
From now on, the Windows 8 start screen will have this email account displayed as a tile and from which the inbox can be quickly accessed.
This is a useful way to give priority to email accounts (say the work email account can be pinned to start screen) while other configured email accounts can be checked after accessing the Mail app.
