Gmail supports many languages besides the default of English.

In order to change the display language :

1. Click on the gear icon on top right corner and select Mail settings (or access the Settings link directly).

2. Next to “Gmail display language”, select the preferred language from the drop down and once selected, click on Save Changes.

From now on, the user interface for Gmail will be displayed in the selected language of your choice.
